With the help of Superheroes agency, Lenovo asked New York-based CGI designer and motion artist Jenny Jiang to create and post a video to her social media showcasing a project she could make with the Lenovo Yoga laptop and a BTS video. The idea was to show CGI technology integrated over live footage, and Jenny did not disappoint.
Jenny loves creating digital flowers, so she started by sketching an idea of flowers floating out of a tube in an urban park before using AI to generate inspiration images of her idea. She filmed footage of the park, camera tracked it in AfterEffects, imported it into Cinema4D, and built the scene. She then added a ground plane to catch the shadows, modeled the tube to run flower simulations, and added final details before her favorite part, lighting and texturing.
The final videos show off not only Jenny’s ability to bend reality, but also her expertise at content creation and brand collaboration.
